Today and tomorrow’s Japanese word of the day is 試験 (shiken), which means “test.”
In hiragana, it is spelled しけん, which can be split into し (shi) and けん (ken)…
し (shi) can also means “death”: 死
and けん (ken) can mean “ticket”: 券.Death ticket.
WHAT A COINCIDENCE.
